EUGENE, Ore.-- Thousands of people will soon have easier access to healthcare thanks to a new Community Health Centers of Lane County clinic. It's currently under construction at the Delta Oaks Shopping Center on Green Acres Road. It's where the store, Parties To Go, once stood. This is the second clinic of its kind to open this calendar year. Trillium spent $1,000,000 to build the clinic, which will serve as many as 8,000 patients.
"There are long lines for everybody when you want to go see your doctor and that line just got shorter thanks to this clinic. This is part of an overall plan to make sure everybody in our community has access to affordable health care and that they have a doctor to give that care," said Lane County Public Health Department's spokesperson Jason Davis.
The clinic will offer services that you'll see at any doctor's office, plus behavioral services. The clinic will start seeing patients in the first of November, and there will be a grand opening for the community on November 16.
