Lane County News Update

Election Day is quickly approaching, and the Lane County Elections Office would like to encourage voters to register to vote, or update their voter registration, now to be election-ready for the November 4, 2025 Special Election. Voters in Lane County must register to vote or make changes to their registration no later than Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

“Making sure every eligible voter is able to participate in the elections process is one of the most important things we do at Lane County Elections,” said County Clerk Tommy Gong. “Now is the time for people who are eligible to vote but who have never registered to sign up. It’s also a good idea for registered voters to double-check their information and make sure it is still accurate.”

If registering online at www.oregonvotes.gov, it must be completed no later than 11:59 p.m. on October 14, 2025. If a voter registration form is hand delivered, it must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. at the Elections Office (275 W 10th Ave., Eugene) on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. If mailed, it must be postmarked no later than October 14, 2025.

Local ballots will be mailed starting on October 16, 2025.  To track the status of a ballot, visit www.oregonvotes.gov/MyVote. Only voters in the following districts will receive ballots: City of Dunes City, City of Springfield, Lane Fire Authority, and South Lane Fire & Rescue.

Voters may return their ballot by regular mail, ballot drop box, or at the Elections Office. For ballot drop box locations, visit www.LaneCountyOR.gov/elections.

Voters with questions can email [email protected] or call 541-682-4234.
