2025 CWPP Update

We Want to Hear from You!

Lane County Emergency Management invites residents to provide their input about how wildfire and smoke impact their lives. As part of updating the county’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP), the project team developed this brief survey to share with Lane residents. We encourage residents to complete the survey to help Lane County better understand the types of information residents want to receive about reducing wildfire risk to their homes, how to protect themselves from smoke, and if they have a plan to evacuate their communities, and know where to go, if alerted.

Lane County will collect this information and analyze it to inform action items in the plan about how to distribute information to residents through their preferred methods and where we can support community preparedness while aiding residents in their efforts to become wildfire adapted.

This is the first of two surveys that will be released as part of the CWPP update. The Wildfire and Smoke Survey will be open through
October 17, 2025. The second survey will be released later this year and include questions about how residents mitigate wildfire risk on their properties, what resources they access to assist their efforts, and what actions residents most support local governments and agencies taking to ensure that communities are safer and more prepared for wildfire incidents.

The Wildfire and Smoke Survey is available in both English and Spanish.  If using a mobile device, you may also scan the QR code beneath each link to access the survey. Use the links below to access either version directly from this page.
