30th Avenue

Thanks to grant funding provided by the Central Lane Metropolitan Planning Organization, Lane County has started a planning effort for the 30th Avenue corridor, between Agate Street and McVay Highway. This corridor currently supports greater speeds and volumes of vehicle traffic, but lacks infrastructure for people to walk and bike safely and comfortably. The planning process will explore issues and opportunities through technical analysis and public involvement, including property owners, Lane Community College, Lane Transit District, Oregon Department of Transportation and the cities of Eugene and Springfield. The plan will result in recommendations for improving walking, biking, safety and comfort on the corridor which will enable securing future construction funding. The planning effort will continue through 2021.

Following the July Open House, the public was asked to provide their thoughts about the refined interim design. The responses received help the design team refine the designs and implementation strategy. The comments collected during and after the Open House have been summarized in a written document by staff which you may view here. To submit additional questions or comments, you may contact Becky Taylor.
