With an area of over 4,000 square miles, Lane County extends from the Pacific Ocean to the crest of the Cascades. Lane County boasts incredible scenic and natural areas. Lane County’s water and soil are generally of good quality. About 50% of Lane County’s housing stock was built between 1950-1975, the median year being 1975. Fewer Lane County residents commute to work by driving alone than the state of Oregon overall.
