Bold Steps Award

The Bold Steps Award recognizes Eugene-based sustainable businesses.



Winning businesses receive marketing assistance including print ads and a professionally produced video, as well as recognition from the Mayor and community members at the annual State of the City event.  

To qualify for consideration for the Bold Steps award, businesses must be certified through the Rethink program which offers businesses free, on-site consultation to reduce waste and save money.

Visit in-person for used chairs, desks, wardrobes, art, lab equipment, miscellaneous housewares, fixtures, and more. Browse items from NextStep Recycling, including many small electronics and appliances. Find the store across the street from Fred Meyer in Springfield.

Electronic Waste

Lane County in partnership with BRING offers free technical assistance, advice and resources to help businesses reduce waste and save money. Expert advisers conduct an onsite assessment and provide customized reports detailing opportunities to conserve resources.
