Lane County Public Health provides vaccines that protect against Diphtheria, Hepatitis A &
B, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Meningitis, and Pneumococcal Disease.
Vaccines protect a child now and in the future by preventing diseases that are life threatening. Vaccines are required by Oregon law for all children entering school. For children under 5 years of age, shots against Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) are also recommended.
