Server OS Support



IT Services offers systems administration for servers running Microsoft’s Windows Server operating system. The service includes daily maintenance, 24 x 7 support and monitoring, installation and configuration, patch management, and security scanning. The service is available for single- or multi-server applications.

OS Requirements
The following operating systems are fully supported:

  • Windows 2003 R2 End-of-Life July 2015
  • Windows 2008 (32/64-bit)
  • Windows 2008 R2
  • Windows 2012
  • Windows 2012 R2

Support hours & On-call
By default all servers are supported business hours (8am-5pm). Some support and maintenance is available from 5pm-11pm while funding is available. Some servers can be designated for 24-7 on-call coverage, please contact NSS for details.

Windows Server Licensing

Licensing of the server OS is the responsibility of the owning agency. NSS can provide server SW audit information upon request.
