Real Property Recording

IMPORTANT NOTICE – Fee Increase Effective July 1, 2026

Pursuant to House Bill 3175, the Public Land Corner Preservation Fee will increase from $10.00 to $25.00 per document.  This will raise the total recording cost for a one-page, one-title document from $87.00 to $102.00.

Documents submitted with insufficient fees will be returned without being recorded.

All other recording fees remain the same.

On Monday, January 1, 2024, HB 2029 became effective, amending Oregon Revised Statute 205.232 changing the minimum font size for recorded documents from 8-point type to 10-point type.

Legible documents with text smaller than 10-point will be assessed the $20 non-standard fee, per ORS 205.327.

The scale and size of the font can change when documents are scanned or printed. To account for these changes, it is recommended you use a larger font size when creating your documents.

Our office is diligently working to provide up-to-date, transparent information regarding this process as we work to operationalize this change in law. If you feel that a document was assessed a non-standard fee in error due to font size, please contact our office. We will promptly investigate the matter.
