Park Rules and Fees

 THESE RULES ARE DESIGNED TO HELP YOU HAVE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE VISIT WHILE PROTECTING OUR PARK RESOURCES AND ENSURING ENJOYABLE USE OF THE PARK BY OTHERS. PLEASE FOLLOW THESE RULES WHILE YOU RELAX AND HAVE FUN IN LANE COUNTY PARKS.


Parking Fee: All vehicles are subject to parking fees year-round. Picnic reservations and Special Use Permits do not include parking. If you would like to purchase admission passes for a group in advance please call the Parks office at 541-682-2000.

Smoke-free County Parks: Per Lane County Code 6.597, smoking or other use of any tobacco products, as those terms are defined by LC 9.700, is prohibited in all Lane County parks, including all parks facilities, except in designated campsites within campgrounds.

Fires:
Fires and charcoal disposal are allowed only in the BBQ pits or provided receptacles. Portable cooking stoves may be used in established campgrounds and picnic areas so as to not cause damage to park facilities. Fires must not be left unattended and must be completely extinguished prior to departure. 

Weapons:
No person may use any weapon capable of harming persons, wildlife, or property.

Hunting and Fishing:
Hunting or trapping animals is not permitted. Fishing is permitted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Destruction of Property:
No person may destroy or damage anything contained within a Lane County park nor remove any item or substance from a Lane County park.

Sales:
No person may engage in advertising, soliciting, or selling any goods or services within a Lane County park.

Vehicle Operation and Parking: All vehicles must be parked in areas designated for that vehicle type. Vehicles, including motor, trail and mountain bikes, ORVs and ATVs, must be operated only on roads and parking lots. Vehicles are not allowed over curbs, on grass or in picnic areas. Maximum speed is 15 mph.

Garbage and Litter:
All trash must be placed in the provided receptacles. Dumping household garbage is prohibited.

Dogs and Other Pets:
Must be kept under immediate control and on a leash under six feet in length. Pets must not be permitted to run at large. Pet owner is responsible for removing any solid waste produced by the pet.

Horses and Riding Animals:
Permitted only on roadways or designated equestrian trails.

Creating a Disturbance:
Sound producing devices must not be plainly audible from a distance of 50 feet or more.

Swimming:
Swimming, wading, or other water play is not permitted in areas posted "No Swimming". Sunbathing is not permitted on boat courtesy docks.

Closed Areas:
No person may enter any Lane County park or portion thereof which has been closed to public access. No person may operate a vehicle in any Lane County park or portion thereof which has been closed to vehicles.

Camping:
Camping or overnight parking is permitted only in designated campgrounds for up to 14 consecutive days or 14 days in any 30 consecutive day period.

After Hours:
No person may enter or remain in any Lane County park Day Use Area between the closing time and the opening time. Exception: Moorage holders and/or their guests may remain on their boats after hours.

Alcoholic Beverages:
Selling alcohol is prohibited. Individuals of legal drinking age may consume alcohol unless specifically prohibited in that park. It is unlawful to serve alcoholic beverages to minors or visibly intoxicated persons.

Special Use Permits:
Special Use Permits may be obtained to allow an activity contrary to or not described by the rules above. Examples: drone use, geo-caching, metal detecting and scientific research, etc. Permits are required for special events and special uses of park areas.

These rules are contained in the Lane Code, Sections 6.450.500 - 6.450.597. Park Rangers have the authority to write citations for non-compliance with these rules.
