LIHEAP

The LIHEAP waitlist will open again on:

March 1, 2024 at 9:00 AM

If funding is available, the list may open on the following dates:

April 1, 2024 at 9:00 AM

May 1, 2024 at 9:00 AM

  • Please place your name on ONE waitlist only. If you put your name on more than one waitlist or have more than one entry, it might take longer for agency staff to get through their list.
  • Choose the waitlist that is closest to where your home address is. If you place your name on a waitlist outside of your service area, you may have to apply again next month.
  • If you are not able to get on the waitlist this month, you can try again next month. The waitlists will open on the first business day of the month as long as there is funding available.
  • Do not use the contact form or leave a message with Lane County to get on a waitlist.

The LIHEAP waitlists can be found here!

Tip: For fastest navigation, bookmark the link above to use when waitlists open OR be ready to call one of the phone numbers below. The waitlist can fill up very fast, so be ready at 9am.

Other programs you may be eligible for can be found here!

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a federally funded heating assistance program for all home heating costs including electric, natural gas, firewood, propane, pellets and oil.

LIHEAP applicants are served on a first come, first served basis starting in November.

If you answer 'YES' to all of these statements, your household may meet basic eligibility guidelines:
  • Your home address is within Lane County
  • You or someone living with you pays a utility company or property manager for home heating costs or purchases heating fuel such as firewood, propane or pellets.
  • At least one person living with you has a social security number
  • You and the people you live with are at or below the income guidelines listed below
PY24 Income Guidelines

Program Reminders

  • When you put your name on waitlist, it doesn't guarantee that you'll get an appointment or be approved for a payment. It's important to keep paying your utility bill, even if you can only make a partial payment.
  • Your appointment might not be right away, but the agency you applied to is working as quickly as they can to get through their list of people waiting.
